In 1972, Barry Conner had a vision to create a company that could build quality custom homes at a lower cost than his competitors. Following the ‘principle over profit’ philosophy of other successful business leaders, Barry believed that if you provided customers a quality built home, at a better price, and treated customers with respect, always following good, honest principles, our business would be successful.

Now, four decades later, Americas Home Place, Inc. is a large independent custom home builder in the country with over 40 Building Centers and Model Centers located throughout the south and more opening to serve the growing need for quality, custom homes throughout the region.

America’s Home Place, Inc. is an integral provider of the American Dream for so many families, due to the hard work and dedication of more than 350 professionals and 4,000 trade partners. We strive daily to fulfill the vision of our founder, Barry Conner, and continue providing better homes for our customers.

Our Mission

Our mission at America’s Home Place, Inc. is to make the home building experience a positive one for our customers. Three out of five new customers are referred to us by satisfied customers. Since 1972, we have been building custom homes for families who have their own land, with home plans ranging from the $80,000's to $300,000+.

To serve our customers more effectively, America's Home Place has developed a network of Building Centers and Model Centers in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Virginia, Texas, Louisiana, and Ohio.
